Fairies and Pheasants, UK2024
It’s such a great adventure, visiting family overseas, and it had been too long since we’d done it! We’ve done road trips to much of the UK with Sally and Jim and had planned a trip to Scotland for years and years. But life and COVID took over, and we hadn’t been there since 2009. False starts happened again and again, but we finally managed to schedule a long trip, including Scotland, for May 2024.
What would have made it perfect timing would be if Kate Rusby (folk musician we love who rarely travels) was playing a gig that coordinated with our itinerary, but she finally announced a Spring tour and we’d already committed to Scotland for those dates. Oh well, Sally and Jim got tickets to an excellent concert in London, and that would do fine.
